Fire and Ice

Welcome back to another Paperartsy Creation. As you all will know if you have seen my previous posts, I was asked by Darcy Wilkinson to make some samples with her new stamps she designed for Paperartsy. I was thrilled to do so and had so much fun - these stamps are amazing!!!

Here is one of the fantastic stamp sets Darcy designed for Paperartsy

....and these are the Fresco Paint colours I worked with...

My last post was where I showed you a creation I made with this gorgeous stamp set....

....and today I am here to show you the other creation I made with this stamp set.....

For this design I brayered a mix of Tango and Cherry Red Fresco Paint over a piece of white card. I wanted it to have texture so I left some streaks of white in it and dabbed it with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink when dry. Then I stamped the flower images and quote over it using Cherry Red Fresco Paint

I stamped the smaller of the two flower images using Jet Black Archival ink onto card that had been painted with China Blue Fresco Paint. I also decided to use some of the leftover orange background - So I added the the quote again to the background stamping it with Smurf Fresco paint. Then I stamped the flower using Jet Black Archival ink. I cut the flower up and used the segments behind the blue flower.

I stamped the stems with Smurf Fresco paint onto the background

I used some of the paint leftover on a brayer to add some orange streaks to some white card. Then I dabbed it with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I then added Smurf and Baltic Blue Fresco paint to the craft mat and rolled with a brayer. I dabbed the quote stamp into this and stamped it onto the card - getting an ombre effect. The edge of the quote was dabbed with Smurf Fresco paint using a finger to smear the paint around the edge.

The whole creation then had a mix of Smurf and China Fresco paint smeared around the edge of the creation to match the quote.

Hope you like it! Why not take a closer look at these gorgeous stamp sets that Darcy has designed. All these new stamps are available to buy now from a PaperArtsy retailer listed here.

You won't regret adding any of them to your stamp collection!

I'll be back very soon with the next of my Paperartsy Creations....stay tuned!

Happy Crafting
